My name is Alhaji Shehu Mohmmed Gambo. I was born in Wurno, Sokoto State on the 15th of January, 1958 to Alhaji Mohammed Saidu Nameska, the present Emir of Kotangora. At the age of six, I was taken to the Late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi in Kaduna where I learnt
to read and write in Arabic. While still with Sheikh Gumi, I obtained sponsorship from the Federal Government of Nigeria to study at the Central Islamic University at Al-Qahira in Cairo, Egypt. I completed the equivalent of a Master’s degree
in Arabic Studies and came back to Nigeria in 1987 to become an Allarama (Islamic instructor).
As a zealous Muslim, I regarded Christians as unbelievers who were rejects of God. As such, I never ate with them since such an act was tantamount to eating the blood of pigs. I also believed like all other Muslims that killing Christians was a passport to going to heaven; and that if a Muslim died in the course of propagating Islam, he will go to heaven. I would also like you to understand that the Koran forbids Muslim women from marrying Christians; however, Muslim men are permitted to marry Christian women so that they could be converted to Islam.
With the above beliefs, I actively participated in all sorts of violence against Christians. The first time was in 1987 during the Kaduna riots. The problem was that Christians at the Federal College of Education in Kaduna wanted to produce the next Students Union President. We therefore mobilized ourselves to avert this by making it look like a Muslim/Christian conflict, and this enabled us to deal a few blows on the Christians who were establishing their churches all over the place. We descended on them and destroyed a lot of their churches and property.
In 1988, Christian students at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria complained to General Ibrahim Babangida that it would appear that Ahmadu Bello University was for Muslims alone, as Christians were relegated to the background. This complaint annoyed us because it would appear that they were scheming on our land. We therefore, decided to teach them some lesson by killing them and destroying their property and churches in Zaria.
In 1991, Christians in Bauchi were accused of killing pigs where Muslims normally slaughtered their cows. Although this was a minor problem, we thought that it offered an opportunity to deal with the Christians who were penetrating one of the core Muslim states. We therefore decided to unleash our aggressive activities on them. The loss encountered during the riots in terms of lives and property cannot be accurately assessed.
In the same 1991, we were informed that one German Christian preacher was preaching in Kano while a South African Muslim had been refused permit to preach in Kano. We therefore armed ourselves to deal decisively with the Christians.
From the above, you can see that I have actively participated in four violent clashes against Christians. Our fear in the Muslim world is that Christianity may one day overwhelm Islam. We Muslims also frown at Christianity because it does not recognize
Islam since Prophet Mohammed’s name is not found in the Holy Bible. Our sponsors and supporters are highly respected business barons, politicians, army officers, traditional and religious leaders in both northern and southern parts of Nigeria.
Also, most Muslims believe that any Muslim who kills any Christian will go to heaven, and any Muslim killed by a Christian will surely go to heaven. These are therefore incentives for all Muslims who would like to become martyrs.
In spite of the above, and the fact that it is regarded as sin for a real Muslim like me to touch the Holy Bible, enter into any church or cooperate with Christians, I have found myself among brethren in the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. The journey into this Kingdom started in October, 1992. I was in a dream an saw my late great grandfather in a distressful state. He was shouting and calling on me saying; “Alhaji Shehu, you have to repent and accept Olumba Olumba Obu as your lord and personal savior. If not, you will come to meet me here.” The dream coupled to what I saw greatly jolted me to such an extent that I went to the Sokoto Central Bethel the next day to talk to Christ Student Pius Essien who explained the meaning of the dream as well as took me to the river for baptism.
During the baptism, some of my kinsmen saw me and started trailing me from the river. They called me all sorts of names and threatened me vigorously. But for the Holy Spirit, something disastrous could have happened to me. Because of the gravity of their threats as well as their resolve, Christ Servant Pius Essien advised me to on a ministry work to the bethel in Gusau. Since my people would still easily locate me in Gusau, I refused to accept the advice; but rather, went to the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Sokoto. At that time, I did not quite appreciate the nature of the divisions amongst various Christian organizations. When I narrated my dreams to Rev, Mamman Bargaji of ECWA, he told me that “Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is not a church; they suck blood.” He then took me to Archbishop Olubumi Okojie, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, who told me to thank my God that Olumba Olumba Obu did not kill me. From then on, he arranged for me to testify at many Christian gatherings.
I was first taken to the Catholic Cathedral in Owerri where I testified before over 25,000 people from different denominations. From Owerri, I was taken to Benin to meet with Idahosa who also told me that Brotherhood of the Cross and Star was not a church and that I should not go there again. He read Matthew 24: 4-5, which states; “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” From Benin, they took me to Ibadan where I met with Evangelist Femi Emmanuel, the then deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly and Chief Kolapo Ishola. They organized a crusade in which many churches including Brotherhood of the Cross and Star were invited, and I was asked to testify. Each time I mentioned Leader O. O. Obu, they all shouted; “I rebuke that spirit” and warned me not to mention that name again.
When I eventually returned to Sokoto, I had another dream in which I saw the Holy Father, Leader Olumba Oluba Obu wearing a red garment. In that dream, He told me; “My son, come back; that is not where I sent you. Go and reveal me to the whole world.”
Apart from this revelation, I also recalled the events which took place during the Bauchi riots. We had marched to the Bauchi bethel with many gallons of petrol to set it ablaze, but found the task impossible. While we were still struggling to
destroy the bethel, a man in white soutane came out of the bethel. We interrogated this man, asking him if he was prepared to change his faith to Islam, but he refused on the ground that his god was good and faithful. We therefore poured a gallon
of petrol on him but could not succeed in setting him ablaze. We tried to maim him by physically breaking his legs and hands, but to our greatest surprise, he started rotating like ceiling fan; and we started experiencing some electrical shocks
from touching him. We therefore, left him believing that he was a ghost. However, we went and fetched a bulldozer to demolish the building. Just as the bulldozer was moving towards the building, a child emerged from the center of the building
shouting, ‘fire! fire! fire!’ Suddenly, darkness engulfed the bulldozer and some of our people ran away. Until this day, the bulldozer and the people in the front row have never been seen.
This time around, I went to Ibadan to meet with Prophet Dandodo who arranged with Christ Witness U. U. Ekpenyong to take me to Calabar to meet with the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe. I have now come to realize that Leader O.O. Obu is simply the ‘Godhead’ who has manifested in human form, and is now dwelling with men on earth. With Him, all things are possible as He is the cause and effect of all things. Before meeting Him physically, I never ate bread or other strange foods. I also did not touch anything made of iron because of my initiation into the Iron Medicine. Now, I have no need for any charms or protection as I am not afraid of anybody. I can also eat any type of food because the inhibitions are gone.
My advice to the leaders of churches of the world is to accept Leader O. O. Obu as their personal Savior and Lord before it becomes too late. They should also stop using charms prepared from ‘yasin powers’ of the Quran. Even before I was baptized, I knew some of them who used to visit me for the purpose of preparing charms for them. They are still using these charms to fall people while pretending to deliver them or give them the Holy Spirit. These charms are worn on the weird rings, crosses and rosaries. I am pleading with the leaders of the churches to stop blaspheming against the Holy Spirit and accept Leader O. O. Obu as the Supreme God. Unless all the religious, political and earthly leaders come to recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit on earth, peace will continue to elude the world. Besides, the whole world should be informed that our Lord, Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed in their times, told their disciples that He who is mightier shall come, and the one being prophesied about is Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.
I told them about my dream, but they tried to confuse me, but I thank the Holy Father for leading me to the accurate knowledge of the truth of His existence in this earth plane.
Thank You Father!
